Youth Program Sponsorships: As part of our active involvement in the community, Steuben County REMC, in conjunction with 5 other northeast Indiana Touchstone Energy cooperatives, sponsors several programs that benefit the children of our local community.

Just Zoo It!: First and second grade teachers - are you looking for a way to help fund your Fort Wayne Children's Zoo field trip this spring? Apply for a Just Zoo It! mini-grant through a program presented by Northeast Indiana REMCs -Touchstone Energy Cooperatives. You can receive up to $75 to offset the cost of zoo admission for your students.  Application deadline December 15, 2011.

Junior Achievement BizTown: Steuben County REMC and the Northeast Indiana REMCs are proud sponsors of the JA BizTown program. Offering our kids the chance to participate in real-world situations and learn about the business world, finances and many more life skills, this program is a wonderful opportunity for the youth of today, and tomorrow's future.

Journal Gazette Regional Spelling Bee: In conjunction with the Northeast Indiana Touchstone Energy Cooperatives, Steuben County REMC provides funding for our local schools to participate in the Journal Gazette Regional Spelling Bee. This program allows our local kids to showcase their talents and compete for the chance to go to the Scripps National Spelling Bee.

Riley Radiothon: Each year, the Northeast Indiana REMCs provide a donation to the Riley Children's Hospital Radiothon. Donations directly support patient care and pediatric medical research at Indiana’s only comprehensive children’s hospital, Riley Hospital for Children. Riley supports children from all over the state, including several right here in our service territory, and we are proud to in turn support this great cause.
